During this time of year, as summer has come to an end and winter is looming upon us, ski season is fast approaching!

Yes, you read that correctly, despite worldwide restrictions, we have picked out four of the most highly rated skiing destinations in Europe that you can enjoy safely during these unprecedented times. So don’t worry, tell the family that the European ski holiday is back on the cards!

From north to south, here they are…

Ylläs, Finland

Our first destination takes us to Ylläs, Finland, situated in Lapland, the northernmost region of Finland. Our private jet hire will take you to the closest airport to Ylläs, Kittilä Airport, which is around 1 hour and 30 minutes away by car from the ski resort.

There is around 55km to carry out your sports activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing.

Although tourists who visit Ylläs do so mainly for skiing, there are other attractions for those who want a little break from the adrenaline rush, including husky and reindeer safaris, ice fishing, and horse riding.

There is also Lainio Snow Village, a complex made from ice including an ice hotel, as well as a chance to see the beautiful Northern Lights.

Åre, Sweden

Our second destination takes us to Åre, Sweden, located in Jämtland County. Fly from your home country on your private jet rental to the Åre Östersund Airport, which is only around an hour away from all the fun.

Åre is home to Scandinavia’s largest ski resort, with 91km of slopes available, ranging from elevations between 380 and 1274 meters; providing plenty of skiing for all levels of expertise whilst also being able to enjoy the breathtaking nature surrounding you.

If you’d like to take a day off from the slopes, there is plenty to do in Åre. You can visit Tännforsen, Sweden’s largest waterfall and home to amazing scenery, so be sure to take your camera with you!

If you’re a chocolate fan, then you must visit Björnänge praline chocolate factory, home to renowned delicious chocolates that will tickle your taste buds, only wish for more!

You can also visit Åre Bergbana, which is Åre’s first ski lift that dates back to 1910, that still functions today!

There is plenty to do and explore in Åre and its surrounding villages, and your private jet rental will get you there in no time so you don’t miss out on the fun!

Trysil, Norway

Our third location is Trysil in Norway, located to the northeast of Oslo and close to the Swedish border. Oslo Gardermoen Airport, the closest airport to land your private jet rental, is a 2-hour drive from the resort.

Once ready you can enjoy Norway’s largest and oldest ski resort, not to mention, the country’s most popular, and for good reason too! There is approximately 71km of slopes to get around in Trysil with elevations ranging from 415 to 1,100 meters.

Once you have skied to your heart’s content, there is a range of other activities for all the family to enjoy from helicopter rides, going bowling or to the movie theatre, to having a spa day, or visiting an art museum.

Then ending the day, by watching the bright stars in the crisp night sky.

Have your private jet hire ready within approximately 2 hours of your reservation to start your trip to Trysil!

Zugspitze, Germany

Our final location will take us close to central Europe, Zugspitze in Germany. Spoilt for choice to where you want to land with many airports surrounding the resort, your private jet hire can take you to Austria’s Innsbruck Airport, which is the closest to Zugspitze or Munch airport a little further from the resort.

You can enjoy spectacular views as we make an approach and land in Innsbruck. Once landed you are only 1 hour and 30 mins from all the action!

Zugspitze is the highest mountain in Germany, with a height of 2962 meters. Surrounding this mountain range is Germany’s largest glaciers, the Northern Schneeferner and Höllentalferner.

Tourists can enjoy 20km of guaranteed snow terrain for seven months of the year!

The resort also offers powder snow slopes which allow visitors to enjoy toboggan runs and freeriding.

When you’re not skiing, Zugspitze is surrounded by spectacular nature that soothes and relaxes the body, moreover, Zugspitze has indoor sports arenas, cafes, and restaurants to suit your liking.
