What can I eat and drink on a private jet?

It’s a question we’re often asked, especially by those new to private aviation: What can I eat and drink on a private jet charter?

The answer is just about anything you like. Private jet travel is a bespoke and personalized service, with catering and hospitality to match.

Prior to your first flight with Advent Jets, our Client Services team will talk to you about your general catering preferences. For our JetAdvent Jets InnerCirle members, this will take place as part of a welcome meeting, where we seek to understand your requirements of all kinds - so that we can provide the best possible service levels each time you fly with us.

Then before each flight, we will discuss and confirm your specific catering order for that trip.

Advent Jets work with specialists for private jet caterers who provide exceptionally high-quality menus and dishes, expertly prepared by their chefs, especially for your flight. Standard VIP catering is included in the cost of your flight hours or your charter price.

Private jet catering options by aircraft type

Your onboard catering options vary according to the size of the aircraft and its galley facilities; the time and duration of your flight; and whether there is a flight attendant onboard.

On light or midsize jets for flights of up to 2-3 hours, you’ll be able to order light dishes such as salads, charcuterie, sandwiches, antipasti, pastries, salads, and fruit.

On some super-midsize and most heavy aircraft, a larger galley will allow a cabin service that includes hot dishes, which are finished and served onboard by the flight attendant. This includes fine dining options, beautifully presented to restaurant standards.

Dietary requirements and special requests

Of course, all dietary requirements can be accommodated, including meat-free or vegan menus, and dishes that are free from gluten or avoiding other allergens. If children are onboard, special dishes can be arranged to suit their tastes.

When it comes to drinks, champagne or sparkling wine is available onboard most aircraft, as is a range of soft drinks, teas, and coffee. Larger aircraft will have a wider selection of drinks onboard and specific wines, beers, and spirits can be arranged to suit your tastes.

At Advent Jets, we see a wide range of catering requests from our clients, and our team does our utmost to accommodate them. It’s not always about fine dining, it can just be a very specific request to make that flight extra special and personal. From pizza to street food, to birthday cakes or a certain brand of herbal tea - we like nothing better than ensuring the onboard service experience is as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
